Nigeria forward, Paul Onuachu is set to join Turkish Super Lig club Göztepe on loan.

Onuachu has been embroiled in an ongoing transfer speculation with a move away from Southampton on a permanent move to Trabzonspor.

Frozen Out at Southampton

The forward has found himself sidelined at Southampton since returning from his loan spell at Trabzonspor.

Last season, the 30 year-old striker had a successful time at Trabzonspor, scoring 17 goals in 25 appearances.

However, the Turkish club has been unable to meet Southampton’s valuation for a permanent transfer.

Göztepe’s Offer

According to reports from Turkey, Göztepe has presented a more favorable financial package to Southampton.

The deal is expected to be finalized in the coming days, allowing Onuachu to continue his career in the Turkish Super Lig.
