The team left no room for Zimbabwe to challenge their lead.

With this win, Nigeria now sits at the top of the group standings, with Egypt and Zimbabwe in second and third places, respectively.

The Junior D’Tigress earned their spot in the tournament after successfully defeating Liberia and Côte d’Ivoire in the qualifiers held in Abidjan.

The team has previously reached the final rounds of the U18 championship twice, securing silver medals in 2008 and 2010.
