Former Chelsea star Gianfranco Zola has weighed in on the recent transfers involving Victor Osimhen and Paulo Dybala, contrasting the motivations behind their decisions.
Zola suggested that Osimhen prioritized money over football by moving to Galatasaray, while he lauded Dybala for staying loyal to Roma.
Osimhen had been linked with a transfer to Chelsea, but negotiations broke down after the Nigerian striker reportedly refused to take a pay cut to facilitate the move from Napoli.
He also agreed to personal terms with Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia, but the two clubs failed to agree on a transfer fee.

Eventually, Osimhen joined Galatasaray, with the Turkish club meeting his salary demands.
In contrast, Dybala turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia to remain with Roma.

When asked about the two situations, Zola told Corriere dello Sport, “One is a beautiful story, and the other a little less so.
“Dybala chose with his heart and not with his wallet. But I don’t want to judge; everyone is free to make their own choices.” Zola said.
Osimhen signed for Galatasaray on a season long loan and will earn €6m.
