"I see sicklers like a failed project" Academic writer says he can

A Nigerian man on X has said that he can never be friends with a person living with the sickle cell genotype.

He said this in reaction to the story about a woman with sickle cell, Dami, who recently died after being “abused” by her husband, as alleged by the deceased woman’s family.

Speaking in defence of the dead woman’s husband, an X user named Adebayo Craig, who is an academic writer and a research analyst, stated that he considers people living with SS as a “failed project” and he can never make friends with them let alone marry one.

He wrote: “I can’t even make friends with a sickle cell person.

“Call me whatever name that perfectly qualifies me in your dictionary. Your business.

“I see them like a failed project. You try your best to rescue them but your efforts amounts to nothing.”

He proceeded to narrate his experience with a female friend who was a sickle cell warrior.

He concluded: “Let them have the nicest character, most beautiful, most charitable, most whatever you can think of. I don’t want to be your friend. Let’s just greet and go.

“After going through that dami’s story. Na him fuck up. He go dey Marry person way he no suppose even greet.”
